TeamSTEPPS: Overview and Applications
March 24, 2023
1:00-2:00pm

This session will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, 1:00pm-2:00pm. The webinar will be an instructor-led group discussion surrounding TeamSTEPPS five key principles. This hour-long session will help Scholars to understand team structure and four teachable-learnable skills: Communication, Leadership, Situation Monitoring, and Mutual Support. Students will understand the two-way dynamic interplay between the four skills and the team-related outcomes. Outcomes and skills that serve as the basis of a team striving to deliver safe, quality care and support quality care improvement. Providing scholars with real-world examples of how the four skills are directly related to the team structure of the patient care team, which represents not only the patient and direct caregivers, but also those who play a supportive role within the health care delivery system.
