Black Belt Alabama AHEC invites students to volunteer for the “Let’s Chat at the Farm” class, a farm-based nutrition education experience led by Dr. Janie C. Clay, Licensed Registered Dietitian and Third Generation Farmer, at her family’s farm, The Charleston Farm, in Marengo County, Alabama. This meaningful opportunity offers students hands-on involvement with Black Belt residents while helping prepare for a powerful community event focused on health, culture, and connection. Scholars will earn experiential hours for the number of hours they volunteer.
