Join WAAHEC for an insightful webinar with Teresa Johnson, DCN, RDN, FAND, as she explores the practical application of real food options for patients who are tube-fed. This session will delve into the nutritional considerations, challenges, and benefits of incorporating whole food alternatives into tube feeding regimens.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into evidence-based strategies for enhancing patient care and improving the quality of life for individuals who rely on tube feeding.
Dr. Teresa Johnson is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with over 35 years of clinical practice and teaching experience. She has a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from Rutgers University and has worked in a variety of clinical facilities. Her primary practice has been in children with severe developmental disabilities. Her current research projects are on the efficacy and safety of blenderized tube feeding. Dr. Johnson is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion with additional teaching responsibilities in the School of Nursing at Troy University.
